Back In The Saddle Again

Hello, everybody! I hope everything is going well for you. Have to admit that things are going pretty good here. So! Right to business, right?
So first thing's first. After a couple weeks of work I decided that I should stick to my guns so to speak and finish Outbreak: The Surge before I go ahead and start any other projects. It was an interesting change of pace for a little bit and I got a first chapter done on that Fantasy novel but it should wait until I'm done with SrA Frays and the rest. Or, depending on how you look at it, SrA Frays and the rest are done with me. They keep popping up in my thoughts now and again and even sometimes in my dreams (or nightmares if you like).
Anyways, good news is I'm about a third of the way through Outbreak: The Surge. I was projecting it to be about a hundred and fifty thousand words or so and right about now I'm sitting at around fifty one thousand. So pretty good so far considering.
And well I'm really looking forward to seeing how it ends as much as the rest of you. I have an idea of how it would shape up at the start and...I honestly have to say that I'm a bit saddened and disappointed in some ways and happy in others. The characters you, Dear Reader, and I have gotten attached to will change in this last bit of the story in some ways and in others they're the same scared tired kids we met at the start of the whole mess.
Oh! Say, as long as I've got your attention for a moment here check this out! I made up a playlist on Spotify. Think of it as kind of a soundtrack to the books. It starts out following Frays in Iraq and just afterwards leading up to the events of Outbreak: Boston and through that to the end of Outbreak: The Surge. I add to it whenever I happen to ear a song that fits a certain mood or part in the story. For instance here's one of my favorites (in fact it appears twice, once by the original artist and once by a cover band that none the less rocks this tune's sock like somebody gave them the keys to a nuclear powered sock rocking machine.)
Anyways, that's all I got for now. Please click on the link at the top of the page to find my books for your Amazon Kindle and if you have the time please take a minute and write a review. Thanks and enjoy!
